Effective Presence of Afra Oil, a Subsidiary of an Afra Integrated Food Value Chains Holding, at Iran Grain Conference

The Iran Grain Conference was held with Mr. Amirhossein Afrashtehpour, representing Afra Oil, a subsidiary of an Afra Integrated Food Value Chains Holding, as a speaker.

Afra Oil, while introducing itself as a complete food supply chain with two decades of all-out efforts to reach its current position, emphasized its commitment to continuously updating itself with global standards to provide better production conditions. The company aims to become one of the most complete food supply chains in the region as quickly as possible.

Afra Oil representatives, while affirming the success of the Iran Grain Conference as exceeding domestic standards, pointed to the role of this conference in the collaboration of organizations and associations active in related fields. They believed that participants had found suitable solutions to the challenges in this area at Iran Grain. They also pointed to the most important challenges in supplying grains and oilseeds in the country, stating that the reduction in subsidies has led to a severe decrease in liquidity and delays in payments in the domestic market. The change in the preferential exchange rate has dealt a major shock to the market, affecting importers, producers, and consumers. As a result, purchasing power has decreased by up to 7 times, causing huge losses for importers and producers. The decrease in the speed of purchasing foreign currency on the one hand and slow payments to international sellers on the other hand have made it a tough year for the Iranian market.

Overall, the presence of Afra Oil, an Afra Integrated Food Value Chains  Holding, at the Iran Grain Conference received a lot of positive reactions, once again placing the holding at the center of attention of food supply chain stakeholders.
